According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the new TransLink Fare Card, which is now being used on many of the major forms of public transportation in San Francisco. The prepaid fare card was able to begin being use don Sunday, which makes the four major transportation hubs using this prepaid card the BART, the San Francisco Municipal Railway, AC Transit and the Golden Gate Ferry. The transit cards are prepaid, then the fares are deducted as used by the traveler. Read more here.
