Prepaid Payroll Launched in South Africa

As we have announced in the past, several organizations, including the U.S. Department of Employment Services, have announced plans to pay employees using prepaid cards. This new concept is going global, and is now being launched in South Africa. As reported in this article, FNDS3000 will be issuing a Diamond Cash Card, in their first payroll card program for the region. In a statement issued from Michael J. Dodak, CEO and Chairman of FNDS3000:

"The issuing of our Diamond Cash Card is a significant milestone in our corporate history. Our major strategic objective was to install our prepaid card-issuing platform in Johannesburg, South Africa to serve as a launching pad for tapping into the expanding unbanked markets.”

FNDS3000 Has a New Strategic Partner in Australis Financial Services (PTY)

A few days ago we brought you news of FNDS3000 and their integration with Bankserv, which allowed FNDS3000 cards to be used at nearly all ATMs located in South Africa. In latest news, from Yahoo! Finance, FNDS3000 have announced a strategic partnership with Australis Financial Services (PTY). Victoria Vaksman, Executive Vice President of Europe, Middle East and Africa, for FNDS3000 Corp had this to say:

"We welcome Australis Financial Services (PTY) Limited to our base of Worldwide Strategic Partners. We expect AFS to aggressively market our prepaid card solutions to their customer base in Africa. AFS will be promoting our prepaid cards through their customer base which constitutes millions of card holders utilizing AFS's closed loop prepaid cards and their bill payment system.”

In a statement from George Rudman, CEO of Australis Financial Services (PTY):

"We welcome the opportunity to expand our card offering from purely closed loop prepaid cards to prepaid debit cards which have international acceptance. This offering will greatly enhance card adoption within our customer bases located through the African continent and will contribute significantly to our earnings."

FNDS3000’s Integration with Bankserv Allows for More Access to ATMs

This latest article in Banking Business Review reports that FNDS3000, a financial services company that supplies prepaid cards and debit cards, has finalized its integration with Bankserv thus allowing for more access to different ATMs across South Africa.

A bank identification number for FNDS3000 has been loaded to all South African Banks so that nearly all FNDS3000 cards can be used at all ATMs.. Victoria Vaksman, Executive VP of FNDS3000 mentions

"This integration and intensive testing with six different banks allows us now to offer to our customers prepaid cards which can be used at any ATM in the country. This is a very important milestone which allows our company to become an important player in the South African financial sector market"

South African cardholders can now look forward to having instant easy access to cash.
