After a number of conversations recently with
retailers and payments providers it’s become glaringly apparent that fintech
will re-write the payments landscape, both in terms of how, when and where
payments are made and in terms of who is now handling the payment.
There is no doubt that fintech is already making
massive inroads into the consumer retail space and given the pace of change
no-one involved in the industry can any longer afford to take a “wait and see” approach. It is imperative to keep up to date with the
developments which will really drive change – from mobile wallets to the
blockchain – as well as to seek partnerships with the innovative new players in
the game.
This is just one of the many topics we’ll be
discussing at the All Payments Expo in New Orleans in March. I’m looking forward to opening up the floor
and hearing what everyone has to say!
